A deciduous tree which can grow up to 10 meters. Its charming pink blossoms appear in winter before all other fruits. Stone fruits are green and meaty during spring and summer with its shell turning hard and the edible seed ripening in autumn. It is a drought and cold tolerant tree but sensitive to frosts during flowering which causes the flowers to fall and therefore the fruit yield to be low.
