Cordyline is an exotic plant species with long, sword-shaped, dark green leaves gathered in a rich rosette on top of the straight, narrow, multi-branched trunk. In summer small, white flowers occur on the flower stem, which sprouts from the middle of the rosette. 
Varieties: C.australis “Atroputpurea” – with brown red foliage.
