A deciduous tree which can grow up to 30 meters in height. It has a well developed, branched out crown. Blossoms in april and may. Flowers are white. Fruits are colored in various shades of red or yellow, depending upon variety. Fruits ripen in june and july. Needs a lot of warmth and sun exposure to thrive. It's a fast growing tree with a relatively short life span (50-60 years maximum).
