Most grapefruit varieties are sensitive to frost and low temperatures. If sheltered indoors, winter temperature should not exceed 10°C. Grapefruit trees can grow up to 10 or 15 meters. In spring, the fragrant white flowers occur. Large fruits of rounded shape and bitter taste ripen in November or later, depending upon a chosen cultivar.
