A deciduous tree which can grow up to 30 meters high. It's crown is wide and moderately branched with the main branches growing thick and strong. Its trunk can grow quite wide as well. Blooms in april and may. Fruit is covered with smooth green leathery membrane and a hard shell which reveals the edible nutritious seed once cracked. The fruit ripens in september.
